We're recertified on the HSCN

Patient data doesn't get a second chance. That's why only a handful of suppliers are trusted to connect health and care organisations to the Health and Social Care Network (HSCN). We've just been recertified, which means we're one of just twenty accredited providers on the network.

It's not a badge we picked up once and forgot about. We've had to prove ourselves all over again, and we're proud we did.

What the HSCN is, and why it matters

The HSCN is the data network that health and care organisations use to reach NHS systems and share information safely. It replaced the old N3 network, and instead of one supplier, it lets you choose who connects you.

That choice only works if every supplier on the list can be trusted. So NHS England checks each one against a strict set of technical, security and service rules, known as the HSCN Obligations Framework. If you're a GP practice, a care home, a hospice or a private healthcare provider, this is what keeps your patients' records moving securely between you and the rest of the system.

What recertification takes

HSCN certification doesn't last forever. Every year, NHS England assesses us again against the Stage 2 compliance requirements and checks in with service assessments in between. We have to show that our network design, our security and the way we manage your service all still meet the standard.

That means opening our doors to scrutiny, answering hard questions and fixing anything that isn't right. We'd rather be held to a high bar than a low one. When you're carrying patient data, there's no such thing as "good enough".

Looking ahead

Our certification runs for the next year, and we'll be assessed again before it's due for renewal. Until then, we'll keep working to the same standard we've just proved. A big thank you to our colleagues who made this happen. This one's yours.
