The client was grappling with several IT infrastructure challenges:

Our Solution
To meet the client’s needs, we designed a solution that provided the benefits of both VCloud and PVDC under a single IaaS offering. - Private cloud architecture: Reviewing multiple cloud architectures and landing on the ITPS Private cloud solution, both for technical performance and sound economic reasons
- Flexibility: The capability of being able to increase via node or use additional resource from our ‘FlexCloud’ Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) platform. This allowed the client to have the ability to choose between CapEx and OpEx options when the requirement came to grow their estate.
- Network and security hosting: Hosted their current firewalls, SD-WAN, and other networking assets within our platform.
- Disaster recovery & geo-redundancy: Deployed services in a secondary region to ensure resilience.
- Flexible pricing models: Offered fixed-price billing with no hidden fees, either as a CapEx or flexible OpEx model.
The Outcome
The transformation delivered outstanding results:
- Cost savings: The ITPS solution was 75% less expensive compared to a direct public cloud migration.
- Minimal downtime: Migration was completed over a single weekend, starting Friday and concluding Sunday evening. By Monday morning, all services were tested and fully operational.
- Modernised infrastructure: Upgraded and renewed hardware during the migration process and transitioned from Hyper-V to our secure Private Cloud platform.
