It has been a very difficult year for many people this year, and with so many wonderful groups working hard to try and make sure people have as good a Christmas as possible, we thought it would be fitting to try and spread a little bit of festive cheer and goodwill among those in our communities who need it most.

Every year we hold a collection in aid of Gateshead Food Bank, which if you have ever visited our offices in December and seen the mountains of donations you will know is well supported by our big-hearted staff, clients and partners. As we’ve been unable to do that in a COVID-safe way this year we have instead made a £500 donation, which will be used to buy essentials items from the food bank’s ‘most wanted’ list.

In lieu of sending out our usual Christmas cards we have donated the money to a great organisation called Feeding Families, which links donors of food hampers direct to families struggling to make ends meet, particularly at Christmas. If you want to find out more about how to become a donor or a volunteer, check out their website here: https://feedingfamilies.org.uk/

We won’t be able to hold our usual Christmas ‘thank you’ get togethers this year, but as there are so many good causes dear to all our hearts, to try and spread the love a little bit we have also made donations to each of the following:

Sunshine Fund                       Percy Hedley Foundation                   Salvation Army

St Oswald’s Hospice               St Johns Ambulance                           Changing Lives UK

Great North Air Ambulance    Shelter                                                 The People’s Kitchen

Alzheimers Research UK       Crisis Skylight Newcastle                   West End Foodbank

We are extremely proud of our team here at ITPS, and the way everyone has pulled together to support each other, our clients and the wider community in these unprecedented times.

While 2020 has been a challenging year for all of us, to say the very least, we can hopefully see a chink of light in the tunnel for 2021 and we are hopeful the year will bring better times for everyone.

It just remains for us to wish our customers, partners and suppliers a very Merry Christmas and a healthy and happy 2021.
